www.krautrock.org.uk is dedicated to providing written information and opinion on the Krautrock albums that were made in the late 60's, through the 70's and possibly into the 80's. I make no apologies for not including lots of fancy pictures. I do make apologies for borrowing the top 50 of Julian Cope. His passionate book 'Krautrocksampler' was my inspiration and an ideal reference to start an exploration. Also thanks go to the Freeman brothers Steven & Alan for their excellent Encyclopaedia of Krautrock 'The Crack In The Cosmic Egg'. I have added my own personal thoughts on some of the albums detailed here and I will also be adding more and more of my favourite albums which for some reason or other did not make the Archdrude's Top 50 although they probably did make the Freeman brother's Top 100. Make sure you check out the links via the album sleeves as there is a great deal more information available. Thanks also to Wah-Wah, Annexus Quam and The Seth Man (sorry I didn't ask) for their superb contributions.
If you wish to buy any of the albums listed here then they are nearly all available from Ultima Thule, 1 Conduit Street, Leicester, LE2 0JN, U.K. (tel. 0116 285 4545).
